Here you're going to simply acknowledge Him as your heavenly Father, your source, your Provider, etc.
Separate His name from every other name. Remind yourself that His Name is Holy (Read Philippians 2:9-11). Focus on the name of Jesus, that God has exalted it above every other name.
Acknowledge excitement about His Return, Give Him praise and show forth Joy that one day He will take over this world)
Place His will, plans, and desires above your own
Here is where you place your needs, asking for daily bread is both a request for your spiritual and natural needs and even wants. Don’t be passive here, boldly tell Him what you need)
Now that you’ve asked for something, God wants something. Here we ask for forgiveness for anything that we’ve done wrong, and release others for the wrongs they’ve done to us. It’s important to realize here that our forgiveness is contingent on us forgiving. Take these 3 minutes or more to think about those that have hurt you and before you move to the next step, verbal release each person by name). This may be the most intense, so if you need more time here, give your permission to take more time.
Spend this 3 minutes talking to God about the areas in which you struggle. It could be forgiveness, finance, weight loss, lust, pride, sexuality, etc. Be fully vulnerable with Jesus right now. Ask him to guide you away from temptation and feed and nourish you so that you can overcome these temptations.
Spend this final 3 minutes talking about His supremacy, His Power, and His Glory. Add some excitement with each step.
